About Dr. Zwas

Felice Zwas has practiced gastroenterology in the Fairfield/Westchester community for over 25 years and is Chief of Gastroenterology at Greenwich Hospital.  She graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magnum cum laude at Barnard College, and Alpha Omega Alpha at Columbia University Medical School.  After her internship and residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, she received her fellowship in Gastroenterology at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.  Dr. Zwas has over forty two publications in peer reviewed journals and has a particular interest in patients with inflammatory bowel disease and special gastroenterology issues facing women.  She has been named Best Doctor in Connecticut, Westchester and New York Magazine and was given the Osler Award by the residents of Greenwich Hospital.  This annual award is given to the physician who in the view of the house staff epitomizes the spirit of the award and has demonstrated excellence in teaching, research and clinical practice. Outside of medicine she is an avid reader, music lover and has trekked and birded throughout the world.
